Our history

Founded by Hans Juursema in 2011 as ColdMax Europe, the company changed into Weber Cooling in 2014. Since the early 20's, the growth of the company has taken speed, thanks to the high value-for-money solutions offered to the market, and the growing market reputation. In 2023, TEN (TransEquity Network) has taken over most of the shares, with the aim of facilitating the growth of the company. In 2024 the company changed into the "Weber Vacuum Group", with a dedicated focus on growth in each of the markets where the Group has achieved a strategic position.

Timeline

2011

Founded in the Netherlands as ColdMax Europe, the company began producing the first vacuum cooler for vegetables.

2013

They also developed the first vacuum cooler for flowers.

2014

The company changed its name from ColdMax Europe to Weber Cooling and introduced the first stainless-steel Food Vacuum Cooler.

2015

The company introduced its first large cooling system for aircraft pallets.

2016

We introduced our first special design bakery vacuum cooler

2017

We opened a small "Bakery Experience Center" in the Netherlands

2018

We are introducing Smart Hydronic Cooling. Smart Hydronic Cooling is an advanced cooling system that utilizes hydraulic principles to efficiently remove heat.

2019

Opening small 2nd "Bakery Experience Center in Japan

2020

Following the opening of the new Bakery Experience Center (NL), the company initiated the supply of its first Freeze Dryers (VT, LT).

2022

We began supplying our first full Freeze-Drying factory (VT) while also introducing in-house Master Baking Support to our bakery customers.

2023

Purchase of majority share of Weber Cooling by TransEquity Network, with aim to facilitate growth.

2024

The transformation into the Weber Vacuum Group included the introduction of a full product range for Vacuum Freeze Drying.
